Sophie Ransom has worked in the book industry for twenty years at Waterstones, Pan Macmillan and then Midas. Mainly responsible for working with Sunday Times top 10 bestselling authors on a long term basis, she works on their brand to take them to the top of the charts and maintain their position there. In the past ten years Sophie has created 14 Sunday Times #1 bestsellers and has worked closely with authors including Peter James, Alex Michaelides, Peter May, Damien Lewis, Monty Don, John Mortimer, Nicholas Sparks, Freya North, David Hewson and TV presenter, Bruce Parry. Sophie has also worked with authors based in the US on their UK PR including Nicholas Sparks, Robert Dugoni and Diane Chamberlain.
Sophie was Chair of the Publishers Publicity Circle for two years and has managed campaigns across all the main publishers including Hachette, Pan Macmillan, Penguin Random House, HarperCollins and Head of Zeus. Sophie is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and loves travel, yoga and the big outdoors.
