Sophie Ransom has worked in the book industry for twenty years, at Waterstone’s, Pan Macmillan, and then Midas PR. At Midas, Sophie has managed campaigns and accounts across Quercus, Little Brown, Pan Macmillan, Bonnier Zaffre, Penguin Random House, HarperCollins, Head of Zeus, Headline and HQ. She was Chair of the Publishers Publicity Circle for two years.
Sophie is mainly responsible for brand campaigns with Sunday Times top 10 bestselling authors. In the past nine years Sophie has created 14 Sunday Times #1 bestsellers and worked closely with authors including Peter James, Peter May, K.J Howe, Mark Edwards, Caroline Mitchell, Robert Thorogood, Sir John Mortimer, Nicholas Sparks and Freya North. More recently she has started working with Damien Lewis alongside Quercus and with Transworld on Simon Beckett. Sophie has also worked with BAFTA Award winning presenter of BBC 2’s Tribe and film maker, Bruce Parry, on all his PR campaigns including his documentary film TAWAI: A Voice from the Forest.
Sophie is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and her interests include travel, the arts, tennis, yoga and the great outdoors.
