Originally hailing from Finland, Kasimiira graduated from University of York with a Bachelor’s degree in History of Art, followed by MA in History of Art at Courtauld Institute of Art. Before joining Midas in 2018, Kasimiira has worked in music, arts and fashion journalism in The UK and Finland as well as doing PR for a number of international high profile artists, festivals and museums at Create Spark and Pelham Communications as well as working as a freelancer. She has a diverse background in arts and culture sector and some of her previous clients include Iceland Airwaves festival in Reykjavik, Nos Alive in Lisbon, IKON gallery in Birmingham, Grammy nominated psych band Tame Impala, Academy Award nominated singer-songwriter Sufjan Stevens, Transgressive Records, Bauhaus Centenary, Olivier Malingue gallery in London and Letitia Gallery in Beirut.
At Midas, Kasimiira works as an Account Manager in visual arts, culture and events PR including Artes Mundi, Saatchi Gallery, Venice Biennale, Giudecca Art District, Ai Weiwei at Raindance Film Festival, Boogie Wall Gallery, celebrity saxophonist and broadcaster YolanDa Brown and Henley Festival. During her time at Midas, she’s managed a diverse array of high calibre campaigns such as launching the world’s first humanoid AI robot artist Ai-Da and unveiling Venice’s new art quarter Giudecca Art District during the 58th Venice Biennale in 2019.
