Should England be a Catholic country again? / The Spectator debate

Lord Richard Harries, will be taking part in a debate hosted by The Spectator on whether England Should be a Catholic Country Again chaired by Andrew Neil on Tuesday 2 March 2010 at the Royal Geographical Society (1 Kensington Gore, London SW7) between 6.45pm and 8.30pm.

Lord Harries is the former Bishop of Oxford and a regular contributor to Radio Four’s ‘Thought for the day’ on the Today Programme. His new book, Faith in Politics?, looks at how Christianity underpins Britain’s constitution and argues that the laws and morality that we live by today are not just the product of the seventeenth century enlightenment but are deeply grounded in a Christian understanding of what it is to be a human being in society.
