13 October 2013: Ricoh Clickable Paper™, the interactive print solution which can make just about any printed item interactive with innovative use of image recognition software, has been shortlisted for The Booksellers’ Futurebook Innovation Awards 2015.
Ricoh Clickable Paper unites print and digital seamlessly through a mobile app. It allows publishers to keep in step with on-the-go consumers as their use of mobile devices is rapidly increasing. TechCrunch reported in June that consumers are now spending 2 hours and 42 minutes per day on mobile devices.
Clickable Paper includes rich media links which can go just about anywhere: photos, video, websites, e-commerce portals, social networks and even phone based actions like making a call, sending an email or opening a map. Readers download a free App from iTunes or Google Play and this allows them to experience digital content on mobile devices including Phones and Tablets when they scan images within Books.
