Publication day of Without Trace by Simon Booker

Congratulations to Simon Booker – his debut thriller Without Trace is published in ebook today by Twenty7.

Simon is a well-known screenwriter who has contributed to prime time TV drama for the BBC, ITV and US TV. Today he makes his first steps into fiction and introduces a new heroine onto the crime thriller series; Morgan Vine, a single mum and investigative journalist interested in miscarriages of justice.

In Without Trace – the first in the Morgan Vine series – Morgan Vine’s childhood sweetheart, Danny, has been imprisoned for the murder and attempted rape of his 14-year-old step-daughter. But Morgan still resolutely believes in his innocence, a belief that has become an obsession of the last four years. At last Danny is released when a key witness retracts his statement. But then Morgan’s own teenage daughter goes missing… Is Danny to blame?

Without Trace has already received high praise:

“A cracking debut. A real page-turner with a compelling central character. Let’s hope we see a lot more of Morgan Vine” – Mark Billingham

“Fiendishly clever” – Deborah Moggach
