Private Eye Paul Foot Award for Investigative & Campaigning Journalism – shortlist announced
The Private Eye Paul Foot Award is proud to announce its 2018 shortlist – chosen from a record number of entries from digital media, national and regional publications – that highlights the exceptional reporting taking place in the UK today, and another great year for investigative and campaigning journalism.

This year’s judging panel, chaired by Padraig Reidy, Little Atoms, comprised Julia Langdon, Political Journalist and Broadcaster; Simon Jenkins, The Guardian; Helen Lewis, New Statesman; Francis Wheen, Private Eye; Matt Foot, criminal defence solicitor and Emma Youle, Archant Investigations Unit, who won the 2017 Paul Foot Award.

Set up in memory of revered journalist Paul Foot, who died in 2004, the award honours the UK’s most brilliant, talented and determined journalists working in the fields of investigative and campaigning journalism today.
The winning entry for 2018 will be awarded £5,000 at an evening awards ceremony, Tuesday 19 June, at BAFTA, London.
