ObsessionArt Fifth Anniversary Exhibition
ObsessionArt, the world’s leading specialist art print boutique, held a Private View for their fifth anniversary exhibition last night at The Gallery in Cork Street. The evening was a huge success and the room was packed with journalists, buyers, friends and fans. Hundreds of people turned up to view the art and spot the occasional celebrity, including Emma Noble and Anna Winslet.
The exhibition, which is running until 17th March, is a combination of eight of their world-renowned artists and photographers, perhaps the most famous of which is Hajime Sorayama, best known for designing the Sony AIBO dog and the ‘Replicants’ in BladeRunner. Sorayama has chosen the ObsessionArt exhibition in London for his first European exhibition in ten years.
The exhibition provides a rare opportunity to view and buy exclusive works of art by all eight exhibitors, also including Stephen Perry, who regularly photographs Helen Mirren, Kelly Brook, Gordon Ramsey and Jenson Button, and Igor Vasiliadis, who was voted as one of the ‘Top 10 Best Photographers in Russia’ and Mike Payton. Payton’s series of fine art nude calendars have been consistent best sellers throughout Europe and the US and his iconic black and white portraits of both male and female nudes, such as “Tie” and “Torso” are today listed in every major poster store worldwide.
The full list of exhibitors is John Wellington (New York), Stephen Perry (London), Lee Jones (Liverpool), Hajime Sorayama (Japan), Mick Payton (Birmingham), Dahmane (Paris), Igor Vasiliadis (Ukraine) and Saturno Buttò (Italy).
The ObsessionArt exhibition run is from 12th – 17th at The Gallery, Cork Street, W1S 3NG.
