More acts announced for Latitude 2013
The next wave of acts performing at Latitude Festival 2013, which will take place at Henham Park in Suffolk from 18 – 21 July 2013, was announced live on BBC6Music on 16th April.
Added to Latitude’s exclusive festival performances will be Grizzly Bear whose captivating chamber rock has made the Brooklyn four-piece one of the most influential acts in alternative music today, the devastatingly honest American musician John Grant and José González fronted indie-folk trio Junip who will make a rare appearance performing their new material. Grammy-nominated ‘twanging guitar man’ Duane Eddy will treat crowds to classic sounds of the ‘50’s, ‘60’s and ‘70’s rock ‘n’ roll era and Domino signed Austra bring their art-pop to Latitude from Toronto, debuting material from their forthcoming LP Olympia.
Latitude’s star-studded Comedy line-up is expanding with the additions of Sean Lock, Russell Kane, Andrew Maxwell and Mark Thomas.
There will be two Theatre premieres from Arcola Theatre with Mirrorball and Look Left Look Right’s brand new immersive children’s show The Many Whoops of Whoops Town. Whilst Hoipolloi will present Things I Forgot I Remembered, a theatrical collaboration with Hugh Hughes.
Added to the Literary Arena will be Robin Ince’s infamous Book Club returning with a sexy twist for 2013 featuring Kevin Eldon and Jo Neary in addition to Keith Allen, Marcel Theroux, Owen Sheers and Julie Myerson. Whilse David Schneider will explore the pertinent question: Is the Internet Making Us More Stupider?
