Mark Britnell picks up BMA Medical Book Award

Mark Britnell, Chairman of KPMG’s Global Healthcare Practice and author of ‘In Search of the Perfect Health System’ (published in October 2015 by Palgrave Macmillan), took home first prize in the health and social care category at last night’s British Medical Association’s Medical Book Awards 2016.

The judges at the BMA’s prestigious annual awards, which received over 600 applications across 20 categories, heralded the book as “a wonderful read which provides an overview of the positives and negatives of different healthcare systems” and were impressed with “the vast amount of information delivered in a fun and easy-to-read way”.

In the book, Britnell, who spent more than 20 years working with public and private healthcare organisations, travelling to over 60 countries on nearly 200 occasions, explores how elements of healthcare systems as diverse as those found in India, South Africa and Singapore can contribute to meeting the global healthcare challenge.

Midas PR worked closely with Britnell and the KPMG team to deliver extensive traditional PR and social media campaigns for ‘In Search of the Perfect Health System’ across global markets such as the UK, US, Canada, India, China and Australia.
