Latitude 2013 – Line-up announced

The line-up for Latitude Festival 2013, which will take place at Henham Park in Suffolk from 18 – 21 July 2013 was announced on 19 March at an event at the BBC 6Music Studios in Maida Vale.

First to headline Latitude’s magnificent Obelisk Arena on the Friday will be Bloc Party. On Saturday evening German electronic pioneers Kraftwerk will take to the stage, this performance will be a rare chance for festival goers to witness one of the most influential bands of all time performing their highly celebrated 3-D concert. Oxford quintet Foals have proven themselves to be one of the UK’s most dynamic and accomplished bands of recent times. Known for creative precision, Foals are preparing a closing show to be remembered for years to come.

Latitude’s stellar Comedy line-up this year includes names such as Daniel Kitson, who will present no fewer six performances at the festival, Dylan Moran, Seann Walsh, Tim Key and Lee Nelson.

The Theatre line-up will include productions from the National Theatre of Wales, National Youth Theatre, Sadler’s Wells Dance Theatre and The Royal Exchange. Art lovers can look forward to a rare appearance from David Shrigley, while bookworms are in for a treat with appearances from Germaine Greer, Carol Ann Duffy, Tracey Thorn and Wordtheatre.
