Debut novelist Nuala Casey launches Soho 4am
Thought-provoking and intelligent, Nuala Casey’s debut is one to savour Elizabeth Haynes
A tale from the concrete jungle. Read it.
Soho 4am is an intelligently written thriller which examines what drives our decision making as well as a painting a striking portrait of one of London’s most iconic areas. Set in the 24 hours between London winning the 2012 Olympic bid and the 7/7 bombings the morning after, Soho 4am uses psychogeography to map Soho’s sinister side as London’s greatest adult playground and its lighter side as the queen of jazz. With murder, arrest, illicit sex, redemption and grief, Soho 4am offers the same thrill as a night of freedom followed by the dark resolutions which come with morning light.
Nuala will be reading from Soho 4am at York Waterstones on Friday 26th of July, the event starts at 6.45pm. If you can’t make it to York, read her interview with the Huffington Post here.
Soho 4am by Nuala Casey is published by Quercus Books and is out Now.
