Charlie Redmayne, CEO, HarperCollins UK and David Young, CEO, Orion Publishing Group and Deputy CEO of Hachette UK, join the The London Book Fair Advisory Board, one of the consultative bodies, set up in the past ten years, that inform LBF strategy.
David Roche, Chairman, LBF Advisory Board, said: “I am delighted Charlie and David have both agreed to join LBF’s Advisory Board. I am sure both will make valuable contributions at a time that the book industry continues to change, and the Fair continues to evolve alongside it.”
Charlie Redmayne, CEO, HarperCollins UK, said: “LBF plays an incredibly important and influential role in the publishing world both here and across the globe. I am honoured to sit on its Advisory Board.”
David Young, CEO, Orion Publishing Group and Deputy CEO of Hachette UK, said: “Having been involved with The London Book Fair from its inception, I am delighted to be involved with the Advisory Board at this remarkable time in our industry.”
The LBF Advisory Board comprises a comprehensive representation of the book industry. In addition to the main Advisory Board, LBF regularly consults with other stakeholders and associations. Individual Advisory Boards, with members based in the UK and overseas, cover specific areas of the Fair, including the International Rights Centre, the USA and Tech Central (previously known as the Digital Zone).
Charlie Redmayne and David Young join the board as outgoing members stepped down from HarperCollins and Hachette respectively.
