Our Client
STEINSDOTTER is the moniker of Norwegian visual artist, model and musician Isabella Steinsdotter. Isabella is the third founding member of the London based artist trio October! Collective who spearheaded the launch of Venice’s Giudecca Art District in 2019 biennale.

‘Hidden Child’ is STEINSDOTTER’s debut indie single launched in June 2019 with a video directed by Isabella’s creative partner and fellow October! Collective member Fayann Smith.

What they wanted Midas to do
Midas PR were appointed to launch Isabella’s musical debut ‘Hidden Child’ under the moniker STEINSDOTTER and arrange launch to coincide with the single premiere. We were also assigned to organise catering and a bespoke cocktail for the event and invite all media to a VIP performance by STEINSDOTTER.

How we did it
Midas were given two weeks to secure a video premiere and organise a launch party for STEINSDOTTER’s musical debut ‘Hidden Child’. We strategically targeted publications that were known champions of brand-new artists and secured a video premiere on prestigious crossover music and fashion publication CLASH day ahead of the official launch party.

Respecting STEINSDOTTER’s Scandinavian heritage and her artistic brand, we secured catering from a hip Nordic East London eatery Snaps + Rye and a bespoke cocktail tailored for the event by Bermondsey mixologists NINE LIVES. These bespoke elements amplified the exclusivity of the event and attracted a wide range of media ranging from music to art, travel and luxury.

What we achieved for them
Midas secured valuable coverage for STEINSDOTTER’s debut on influential magazines, including an exclusive single launch on CLASH Magazine, print interview in Hot Press and blogposts in several blogs including Run Riot and Audiofemme.

For the launch party, our attendee list included high calibre journalists from Reuters, Conde Nast Traveller, The Art Newspaper, BBC, London In Stereo, Amazing Radio and Sky News.
