Midas takes the queen of feisty fiction to new heights

The brief: Midas PR worked with Freya North and two different publishers for eleven years on PR campaigns for seven of her novels. Our original aim was to raise Freya?s profile and guarantee she was consistently in the Sunday Times top 10 bestsellers list for every new book.

Strategy and implementation: In order to ensure Freya?s top 10 status we implemented year-round publicity campaigns. They included nationwide events and major features in national newspapers, women?s magazines and national and regional broadcast mediaincluding BBC Radio 4?s Book of the Week. Alongside various library and bookshop events, Freya also appeared at the Cheltenham Literary Festival.

Results: All seven novels published during this eleven year period appeared in the Sunday Times top 10 bestsellers list and Chances charted at number four – her highest position to date.
