Midas PR was appointed by John Blake Publishing to launch the first autobiography of EastEnders star John Altman aka. Nasty Nick Cotton. The campaign’s main aims were to generate widespread media coverage across print, online and broadcast channels and to help drive sales of the book.
Midas created a targeted media plan to secure select, high impact coverage in the national newspapers and broadcast media to maximize exposure, audience reach and book sales. Midas secured appearances for John Altman on three national television shows, with the first interview running on ITV Lorraine and subsequently Loose Women and Channel 5 The Wright Stuff, and six national and regional radio shows including Radio 2 Steve Wright in the Afternoon, BBC Radio London Gaby Roslin Show, BBC Radio Wales Eleri Sion Show and BBC Radio Ulster Stephen Nolan Show.
Midas PR assisted the publisher with serial negotiations and secured the first exclusive interview in The Daily Mirror, which was received online pick-up from outlets such as The Daily Star, OK! and The Daily Herald. Midas secured several slot interviews based on exclusive content in the book such as Celebrity Traveller and Where Are They Now in the Daily Express and Daily Express Saturday Magazine, and A Brush With Greatness in the Observer Magazine. 60 Second interview ran in the Metro and received wide online pick-up from outlets such as Digital Spy, Yahoo.com, AOL.com and The Sun.
