Making the Headlines: Artist’s Resale Right 10th Anniversary

Midas was appointed by The Design and Artists Copyright Society (DACS) to provide PR for the 10th anniversary of the Artist’s Resale Right (ARR) – starting work on 3 January 2016 for a 10-week campaign.

The tools of campaign included: 1) a white paper with key figures and statistics, 2) an infographic, 3) support by artists and gallery owners (quotes, Q&As), and 4) facts about artists gathered by DACS. Midas then conducted a thorough sell-in to newswires, arts trade, national and broadcast media.

Midas supported on social media via draft tweets and by designing visual content. Midas provided an extra push with tweets and retweets through Midas account.

Coverage was secured in most top arts trade publications including: Antiques Trade Gazette, Arts Professional, A-N Online, Art Daily and Hyperallergic. Interviews were secured with The Telegraph and The Economist arts correspondents.
