Sophie Ransom

Sophie Ransom has worked in the book industry for the past 20 years, starting her career at Waterstone’s before moving to Pan Macmillan and then to Midas PR. Sophie leads the fiction division at Midas and works across a number of publishing accounts. She is mainly responsible for campaigns with Sunday Times top 10 bestselling authors working across different genres including crime, biography, travel and women’s fiction.

In her time at Midas, Sophie has led accounts for several Sunday Times bestselling crime writers, including no. 1 bestseller Peter James, as well as Peter May, Robert Thorogood and John Mortimer. She has also worked with novelists such as Freya North, Laurie Graham, Penelope Lively and Amanda Prowse. She has led all the PR campaigns for BAFTA award winning documentarian and explorer, presenter of the BBC’s Tribe, Bruce Parry, including his latest documentary film, TAWAI: A Voice from the Forest.

Sophie is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and her interests include travel, the arts, tennis, yoga and the great outdoors.
