The phenomenal success of Margaret Leroy's heartfelt tale The Drowning Girl was taken to a new level yesterday, after talk show sensation Oprah recommended the book as one of her Top 25 Summer Reads.

Published in the USA under the title Yes, My Darling Daughter, in the UK The Drowning Girl is available now, published by MIRA Books (www.mirabooks.co.uk).

Described by Oprah as 'one of those rare books you'll sit with till your bones ache,' the book follows the story of a mysterious 4-year-old girl, Sylvie, who longs to return to a house she has never seen and a family she cannot have known. Beautifully and powerfully written, The Drowning Girl explores the unique bond between mother and daughter.
