Former commissioning editor and best-selling author, Fiona Shoop, has launched Golden Guides Press and its fiction imprint, G-Press Fiction.   The Golden Guides Press list will predominantly focus on highly commercial non-fiction titles for established markets - mainly on history, popular culture, reference and humour.   G-Press Fiction will publish adult, YA and children's titles, with an emphasis on literary, crime and historic crime novels.  Twenty-five titles will be published in 2012, with the list's first six books and eBooks scheduled for release end January.

G-Press Fiction launches with Toxic Treacle in January, a thrilling new young adult dystopian adventure from the bestselling author Echo Freer, who has a loyal following for her feisty female characters, including Magenta Orange.

Fiona Shoop, Editorial Director, Golden Guides Press, said:  "I am incredibly excited to be launching my own list.   My strength is spotting a gap in the market and seeing what readers want and we have a strong line up of titles from some fantastic authors, including several award-winning bestsellers.   I am very much looking forward to seeing the list develop over the next couple of years."
