FutureBook Conference 2011

550 delegates attended the FutureBook 2011Conference yesterday to hear from an array of distinguished speakers on their vision for modern day publishing. The mood was 'positive, vibrant and forward thinking' according to Philip Jones of FutureBook who lauded the 'honest and open-minded approach to discussing what publishing is now all about: connecting the author to the reader.'
Keynote speakers included Stephen Page (Faber and Faber), Lindsey Mooney and Cameron Drew (Kobo), Jo Henry (Book Marketing Limited), Anna Rafferty (Penguin Digital) amongst others and included a range of topics from 'Wider digital trends and impact on publishing', 'Start-ups and entrepreneurial thinking', 'Content and pricing strategies' to 'Gamification.'
