About the Book
Mrs Morello is a large Italian lady living with her slightly confused, pear-shaped husband and 3 children (Tosti, Amphora and Rizzo) in suburban Ealing where they run a menagerie. The ever inquisitive Mr and Mrs Morello, fastidious and prodigious letter writers, take it upon themselves to correspond with famous persons and institutions - from the Archbishop of Canterbury to Jeremy Paxman, from Cliff Richard to Gordon Brown, from the Bank of England to Chris Patten and Sainsbury's and Cadbury's - in their quest for answers from the ‘experts' to their endless domestic quandaries and misapprehensions about the British way of life, and in vain attempts to gain employment for their idling children.
