But behind the gilded surface, Annie’s life is descending into chaos. He marriage is in tatters, her relationship with her daughter is fraught and there are whispers on the streets of London; are the Delaney twins really dead?  Perhaps Annie should have demanded to see their bodies lying on a slab in the morgue…

About Jessie Keane

Jessie Keane is the author of a number of crime bestsellers with Annie Carter, head of a London gang family, as her main protagonist.  Jessie’s fascination with London and the underworld led her to write the No.1 Heatseeker Dirty Game, followed by best sellers Black Widow, Scarlet Women, Jail Bird, The Make and Playing Dead all starring Annie Carter. Her last book, Nameless was a standalone crime novel and sold over 50,000 copies in a month.

Jessie Keane always tells it as it is.  Her mother came from a traveller family who settled in Hampshire. Her father was a surveyor with his own company. Jessie was the youngest of eight children with seven older brothers.  Amidst family feuding, one of the directors embezzled from the company and it went bankrupt.  Her father died when Jessie was in her teens, resulting in her leaving school and heading for the bright lights of London, which provides the backdrop for many of her novels today.  She was living on the last of her savings when her debut novel Dirty Game was acquired by HarperCollins which went straight in at no 1 in the Bookseller’s Heatseeker Charts. Last year she was bought by Pan Macmillan who published Nameless.  She now lives in Hampshire.  For more information on Jessie Keane – please see her website www.jessiekeane.com .
