Night School: The Web Series at Comic Con

Ahead of the publication of her new book, The Secret Fire, to be released 10th September 2015, CJ Daugherty will be at Comic Con this weekend to discuss Night School: The Web Series.

The Web Series, based on CJ Daugherty’s internationally bestselling series, Night School, was directed and produced by her husband, BAFTA nominated director, Jack Jewers, and will be shown as part of London Comic Con’s Vidfest on Sunday 24th May at 1pm. This year Comic Con is based at ExCel London.

Night School follows Allie Sheridan, a schoolgirl at Cimmeria Academy – a British private school which plays host to the notorious secret society, Night School. Night School members are destined to run the country and are trained by the world’s most powerful, and most dangerous, people.

The exclusive screening at Vidfest will be accompanied by a panel event where audiences will be given the opportunity to question CJ Daugherty, Jack Jewers and the  Night School’s stars, Jessica Sargent (Allie Sheridan), Campbell Challis (Carter West), Grace Parry (Katie Gilmore) and Jodie Hirst (Jo Arringford).

Night School: The Web Series is the first ever British Web Series based on a British YA book. The series was first released on YouTube in December 2014 and received outstanding support from viewers, with over 400,000 collective views. The series won several Indie Series Network Awards, including best Webisode and best actor, and has been shortlisted for the Marseilles Web Series Festival in October 2015.

The final book in the Night School series, Endgame, will be published in June.

The Secret Fire, co written by CJ Dauherty and French author Carina Rozenfeld will be published on 10th September 2015.
