Blackwell’s to Host Young Adult Fiction Event with Leading Authors
On September 4th Blackwell’s Charing Cross is hosting a free Young Adult Crossover Fiction event with three of the UK’s hottest new authors in the YA genre, CJ Daugherty, Holly Bourne and Alexia Casale, who will discuss why YA is so popular with adult women when it is written for teenagers, and why it should be taken more seriously.
Some of the biggest publishing successes in recent years have been from the YA genre, which is now being read more widely than ever. Recent American research has revealed that 80% of YA novels being bought by adults aged 20 or over and the success of YA book series like Twilight and Hunger Games, have been helped hugely by an audience of both adults and teens.
For your chance to hear three of the UKs most exciting YA authors discuss what makes YA so addictive email firstname.lastname@example.org for your free ticket. The event takes place at 6pm on Wednesday 4th September at Blackwell’s Charring Cross, following the talk there will be an opportunity to meet the authors and get books signed.
