Sir Peter Blake
Peter Blake One Man Show by Marco Livingstone is the first comprehensive publication of the work of iconic British pop artist Sir Peter Blake. Publisher Lund Humphries approached Midas Public Relations to create and run a publicity campaign for the title, which also included a limited-edition version that retailed at £500.
With Peter Blake available for publicity, Midas created a strategy that would maximise public awareness of the book's publication and highlight the creative genius of the artist.
Results: Over the three-month campaign, Midas generated interviews with Peter Blake in The Sunday Telegraph Seven magazine, Guardian Weekend, Observer Music Monthly and The Independent. Features and review coverage also included The New Statesman, GQ magazine, Matchbox, Record Collector, Time & Leisure Magazine and The Burlington Magazine.
In addition, Midas created strong broadcast publicity, including interviews with Peter Blake on BBC Radio 2's Jonathan Ross Show and BBC Radio 4's Saturday Live.
