Midas and Publishing Technology make a splash

The brief: To raise the profile of Publishing Technology within the publishing industry, following a company merger and the addition of new and updated products and services.

Strategy and implementation: Midascreated a major publicity campaign for Publishing Technology, focusing on positioning CEO George Lossius as the face of the company, along with the creation and management of social media and online resources, including an official Publishing Technology Twitter feed, LinkedIn profile and YouTube channel. Midas arranged for speaking opportunities for Publishing Technology’s CEO at conferences and industry forums, along with sponsorship of The Bookseller?s publishing industry awards and advertising in key publishing trade media.

Results: Though the campaign is still in progress, results already include a full page interview with George Lossius in leading publishing magazine, The Bookseller, along with regular coverage in BookBrunch, Publishers Weekly and Publishing Perspectives. Features on the company have also appeared in the Independent, Guardian and Oxford Times. Midas also built Publishing Technology’s blog and Twitter, LinkedIN presence to position them as thought leaders in digital publishing. Midas arranged for Jane Tappuni from Publishing Technology to speak at BML conference and for Pub Tech sponsored events at the London Book Fair and the Frankfurt Book Fair.
