Cotswold hospitality at Midas

The brief: Bespoke Hotels, a UK-based hotel management company with 54 properties across the world, approached Midas to raise consumer awareness of a number of its hotels, focusing on their bespoke look and feel, without detracting from the underlying message that they belonged to the Bespoke Group. An example is the luxury Cotswold House Hotel in Chipping Campden.

Strategy and implementation: The campaign tapped into the Cotswold House Hotel?s unique selling points including its outdoor gardens and surrounding areas, its spa, its two on-site restaurants and its literary lunches. Using these, Midas immediately identified a number of different audiences, providing wider reach into the national and specialist media. Midas tailored packages and stories for journalists, and developed a number of feature ideas, competitions and press reviews to showcase the different offerings at the hotel.

Results: The Cotswold House Hotel has now significantly improvedits awareness and bookings. Editorial coverage was secured in The Guardian, The Sun, The Daily Express, Stylist, Hangbag.com, Britain magazine, Marie Claire and Good to know. The head chef became a regular contributor to Shortlist, before securing a coveted new entry spot for the hotel in the Good Food Guide 2013, when he was named Chef to Watch.
